Apparently you somehow found your way to this blog; and I’m glad to have you as a follower, because: When traveling solo it’s nice to know that this way I can share at least some elements of the experiences I make on the road. If you have any questions, just drop me a line. And if you’re interested, subscribe to this blog by mail (see right column), check my Instagram feed or my Strava.
I did my first bicycle vacation aged sixteen together with a friend (9 days). Then for years I was busy with other activities and only functional cycling. I guess my touring really took of as one of my favourite things to do when I was in Montreal for half a year and decided to ride a couple of days through Ontario during my fall-break. Since then my touring changed a lot: longer distances, more mental experience, better/”racier” equipment, etc… But the basic fascination remained the same: Independence and (as “big” as it may sound) a different take on our planet and my position on it (check the “why”-section, in case you want to hear more).
With only one exception (my trip through Japan with Jon, which was a fantastic team experience!) I travel solo. There are many reasons for (and also against) it which I might tackle in a blog posts some time.
If you’d like to get in touch with me, have questions or feedback, please fill in my contact form or get in touch via social media (see above). I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. Looking forward to hearing from you!
